Pelagic is a calm deep sea publishing theme for research journals, technical essays, science writing, and exploratory blogs. Its depth contours, glass instruments, quiet teal glow, and slow water shader turn browsing into a measured descent.
Observatory systems
The theme includes fast static pages, Pagefind search, tags presented as specimen groups, chronological archives, RSS, dark and light palettes, structured metadata, and responsive reading layouts.
Design notes
- Space Grotesk provides clear display type while IBM Plex Mono carries readings and metadata.
- Depth markers give every post a place in the descent.
- The interface starts dark but retains a crisp daylight mode.
- Reduced motion preferences stop the water field and sonar sweep.
